Areas we cover
I cannot thank Roy, Wayne and Connor enough for their help across 3 days for my move from Winchester. They were so accommodating and polite, even though it was a really hot day. They just got on with the job.
Roy, Connor, and Wayne did a great job of moving us from Wiltshire to West Sussex. Lovely guys and a good job well done.
Thank you so much to Wayne, James and Connor who helped us move house. You guys were absolutely brilliant and made our day a lot less stressful than we thought it was going to be.
Pardys moved a three piece suite from Chippenham to Christchurch. It wasn’t easy to get the suite out, but they tried everything and succeeded without a complaint. I went back to Pardys as they moved our full house 3 yrs ago.
We moved from Dorset to Cornwall. The team were friendly, professional and careful. Very pleased with the service we received.
Have now used twice. On time, careful and cheerful.
Questions
Part loads, customs, packing, cover and storage.
Read all FAQsThe most cost-effective option for transporting your belongings to Europe is our part-load service at R.H. Pardy.
This service helps cut costs by consolidating your items with those of other customers in a shared truck, making it ideal for those relocating to Europe with fewer items.
With part-load, you only pay for the space your belongings occupy in the truck.
Please note that delivery times may be longer when using the part-load service.
Moving to Europe has become a lot more complex since Brexit.
Relocating to another country in Europe is a complex process that will require detailed research into visa requirements.
Many European countries allow visitors to stay for up to three months without a visa.
If your move is for work purposes, it’s advisable that your employer helps you obtain the necessary work permit visa before you relocate.
Once you have everything in place, R.H. Pardy can guide you through the specifics of moving to ensure a smooth transition.
Downsizing is an excellent way to make your move easier.
Keep in mind that this will require plenty of planning well in advance.
You should consider what items you take by compiling a detailed list of essential items and those that aren’t.
When decluttering, consider what items you may wish to donate to charities.
If some items are valuable, list them for sale on marketplaces like eBay, GumTree, Shpock or Vinted.
Reduce paperwork as much as possible by digitising your documents, and avoid making any unnecessary purchases. Where possible, up-cycle or repurpose items you have no need for.
Yes, R.H. Pardy provides assistance with customs clearance as part of our European removals services.
We’ll help you prepare the necessary documentation and guide you through the customs process to ensure your belongings are transported without delays.
R.H. Pardy offers comprehensive packing services that include professional wrapping and packing of your items, specialised crating for valuables and fragile items, and detailed labelling for inventory management.
Our packing experts ensure that your belongings are securely packed for European transport, adhering to all shipping regulations.
It’s important to notify your bank about your plans to relocate to Europe.
Not informing them can lead to restrictions on services like online banking once you move abroad. There’s also a risk that your bank may freeze or close your account if they detect foreign activity without prior notice. To ensure continued access to your funds, keep your bank updated about your intention to move.
Yes, it is called MoveProtect. Cover meets British Association of Removers standards, from a few items up to a full overseas move. Standard liability cover on household goods is up to £50,000. If you want to talk it through, ask the surveyor. Freezer contents are excluded: neither R.H. Pardy nor its insurers accept responsibility for food that deteriorates.
Full professional packing, which means the contents of those boxes are insured. China and glass only, if you are packing the rest yourself and want the breakables covered.
