At R.H. Pardy Moving & Storage LTD, we take great pride in the quality of our moving services and are committed to minimising any issues during the moving process.
Nonetheless, it is important to recognise that your belongings are subject to various inherent risks while in transit or storage, which are beyond our control.
As such, our limited liability in the event of loss or damage is capped at £50,000. Should you require coverage above this amount, we can accommodate increased liability for an additional fee.
Limit of Liability – In cases where goods are packed by the owner, or if no declaration of value is provided, or if you opt out of coverage, our liability for any loss or damage due to negligence or breach of contract is limited to the cost of repair or replacement, up to a maximum of £40 per item or box, regardless of the contents.

Packing
Full packing, china and glass only, or boxes and tape so you can pack the rest yourself.

Move day
The crew arrive at the agreed time, protect the floors, and place items in the rooms you name.

Storage or delivery
Straight to the new address, or into a locked container in our Christchurch warehouse.

Ask the surveyor if a particular item is on your mind.
Read all FAQsYes, it is called MoveProtect. Cover meets British Association of Removers standards, from a few items up to a full overseas move. Standard liability cover on household goods is up to £50,000. If you want to talk it through, ask the surveyor. Freezer contents are excluded: neither R.H. Pardy nor its insurers accept responsibility for food that deteriorates.
For most houses, yes. A surveyor still works through the rooms and estimates the volume. A visit is better when access is awkward, for example a New Forest track, a quay, or a flat with a long carry. The contents form is there if you would rather write the list yourself.
Yes. Pre-payments are protected under the BAR Advance Payment Guarantee. Domestic moves are carried out under the BAR Code of Practice. Disputes can go to the BAR alternative dispute resolution scheme, run independently by the Furniture & Home Improvements Ombudsman.
